Why Further Afield?
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to looking for chalets, hotels, lodges, ski slopes, views, mountain restaurants and ski schools. Most of us, however, end up choosing the familiar European resorts we know so well. At Peli-Ski we think it’s time you broadened your horizons to some of the new and exciting ski locations on offer. While we love our European friends, the quick and seamless transportation links available today mean it’s the perfect time to open your eyes to completely new aspects of the winter season.
We have teamed up with some fantastic companies that we feel will offer you something you’ll love. These experiences range from the most exhilarating skiing to trips where the more of the focus is on the amazing surroundings, the other activities on offer and of course great food and wine.
Useful things to know
A longer haul flight is not necessarily as expensive as you might think, especially for peak dates of the season. During busy weeks you’ll find that you can get to US for around the same price as a flight to Geneva.
The winter season in the US tends to begin fairly early, around November for Aspen and Vail and closes a little earlier than European resorts on around the 3rd April. For British Columbia, you’ll find things start in December and you can ski through until mid April . The days are long and light making it a hugely popular ski area.
