The charming resort of Meribel is located in the heart of the world-famous Three Valleys area which gives access to 600km of sweeping pistes, exciting off-piste skiing and a number of beautiful pistes that weave down through the village, which when lit up at night is a spectacular scene. Meribel has excellent links to Courchevel, Val Thorens and La Tania, which offer an unlimited ski area. The car-free resort itself consists of beautiful chalet style architecture with wooden and stone buildings. There is a lively après-ski scene, superb restaurants and off-slope activities for all ages.

What needs improving
The Trois Valleys is an extensive resort, make the most of it by getting a guide for your first day.
Some of the slopes have high exposure to the sun so best to ski in the morning and then move to Courchevel or Val Thorens.
Regional flights from any major UK airport will fly you into Geneva or Lyon (Approx. 2hr 30min road transfer) or Chambery (1hr 30min transfer). Helicopter transfers are also available from Geneva and the flight is approximately 30min. Please note that helicopters are weather permitting.
Trains can be taken from Geneva to Moutiers (approx. 2hr 30min) and then a transfer up the mountain of approximately 40min.
